The pan fried dumplings are excellent! Wonton soup is also really great! Classic Americanized Chinese food, simple and delicious. No frills and great service and family who runs the place.

First time here and it will be my last.
Ordered teriyaki chicken, boneless pork, and egg rolls.
The pork was dry. As in must have something to drink to eat it, dry.
The chicken, was burnt on the outside, inside was bitter, dry, and foul.
The egg rolls, the outside was cooked correctly, not burnt. That is where the good news ends.
The insides were slimy and greasy. There was a foul odor also.
There was nothing redeemable about this meal. -

I've been there twice and I will go again. Good American-style Chinese take out. Good prices and quantity. Surprisingly clean place and tasty food for being a small place in the hood. Heck, they were busy last time I was there and they forgot my lo mein, but I'll still gladly go back. Here's hoping they stick around for a while. A great "grab a few items and then go home and watch Game of Thrones while grubbing out" kind of take out joint.

Well I usually go to Dynasty on W.Warren near WSU, but I decided I wanted to try something new.
China House in SW Detroit. I ordered General Tso chicken. It tasted & looked different than any General Tso chicken I have had in the past. The chix was large soggy chunks with a little bland non descript sauce on it. The chicken fried rice was salty & otherwise tasteless. It was not good. A waste of money!! Usually I can finish a meal that tastes ok but this was less than ok. I threw it away. Even the egg roll was not good & I didn't finish it. Yes they speak spanish & spanish music was playing in background. The place was full so I thought I was in for a treat. Staff was friendly. Service was quick. Too bad food did not live up to my expectations. I really wanted it to be good. I will get my next take out from Dynasty. -

So, SW Detroit doesn't have a lot of options for Chinese food. This place is close, it's decent, it's moderately clean, the windows you can actually see through, and the buildings is the most recently built if that saying anything. I have never gotten sick which is a good thing, and never really been disappointing. although ive seen the prices go up through out the years, what else can you say about a place where the Chinese help has adapted to playing Mexican Music and they speak Spanish better than they speak English? Plus they have Twin dinners where if you cant make up your mind instead of paying 7.50, pay 8.00 and get two different entrees in the same meal. Sweet and Sour chicken AND Rib Tips with Fried Rice and Egg roll. Dinner today and luch Tommorow.
